What's happening?
Weber Shandwick London is looking for a talented Social Media Associate to join our Digital team.
This is a client facing role where you will be exposed to a varied client portfolio and will play a key part in the delivery of high-profile communications campaigns across multiple markets.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key attributes:
CLIENT AND WORK
- Serve as key team member to support cross-channel social and digital marketing for multiple client engagements
- Liaise with clients and assist in client communications, including developing and coordinating routine account management materials, including timelines, client documentation and project management support
- Draft and manage cross-functional team briefs, independently partnering with creative, design, and media relations team members on social and digital projects and collaborating on integrated deliverables
- Support digital and social content production from concept to execution, including social editorial calendar creation, creation of social media advert mockups, etc
- Manage social content publishing models for clients, including educating clients on content creation and paid promotion on social and digital platforms
- Understand interactive elements of digital / social media engagement campaigns, collaborating with traditional and digital media teams
- Keep pace with social media / digital industry trends and developments
SELF LEADERSHIP AND TEAM EFFECTIVENESS
- Serve as role model to team members, producing high quality work and continually updating manager on activity progress
- Actively seek to build own knowledge, contribute to inclusive team culture and consistently display behaviors that support integration
GROWTH AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Leverage understanding of client’s business to share ideas to help grow the account organically
- Participate in meetings to support new business development / organic business growth opportunities as directed, including capturing notes, recaps, research, updating trackers and timelines (proactive/reactive pitches)
- Is attuned to culturally relevant insights and happenings for clients
BUSINESS ACUMEN
- Grow understanding of financial aspects of accounts by supporting budget tracking and invoicing, maintaining fee and out-of-pocket trackers, and submitting purchase orders
- Support a healthy account and business through accurate time entry
- Maintain a thorough understanding of clients’ business and industry
- Familiarity with SOW in order to flag any out-of-scope client requests to manager
- Develop a strong understanding of the client’s business and target audience; Continues to maintain a keen interest in current industry trends
- Submit timely expense reports and understand standard IPG Travel and Expense SP&Ps
- Begin learning the business of our business, including The WS Collective brands and offerings
Minimum Criteria:
To be considered for this role, you must have prior experience in a social media and / or digital role.
Ideal Experience Required:
Ideally you will possess many of the above skills and attributes in addition to:
- Excellent project management, digital and social media skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in at least three specialist areas – social listening, paid social, paid search, display advertising, SEO, organic content creation, influencer management and social/digital strategy development
