What’s Happening?

Join our vibrant Tokyo team where cultural insight meets bold ideas. Weber Shandwick is seeking a talented and proactive Marketing communications / Business development manager (title commensurate with experience) to join our growing team, working with members with global background. You will work closely with both clients and internal teams to support strategic communication planning, lead media, and deliver exceptional results that drive brand impact.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Brand and Reputation Building: Support the development and execution of communications and marketing activities. Strengthen local brand visibility through media engagement, leadership positioning, and storytelling aligned with APAC and global narratives.
  • Content and Campaign Development: Develop high quality content including press releases, leadership messages, case studies, web updates, social content, newsletters, event materials, and internal communications. Coordinate local marketing initiatives, industry events, and speaking engagements.
  • Awards and Creative Excellence: Lead regional award submissions, support in market entries, and develop case study materials, decks, and collateral. Manage amplification across owned and external channels.
  • Digital and Website Management: Manage updates to website content including work portfolios, case studies, team updates, and award wins. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with regional messaging.
  • Work closely with local and regional leadership team to support visibility and brand positioning. Maintain productive relationships with media, industry partners, and internal regional teams.

Who Are You?

  • Five to six years of experience in communications and marketing
  • Strong writing and communication skills in Japanese and English
  • Experience in content development, brand reputation management, and integrated campaigns
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross market environment
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
